Building Materials Sales Associate in Salem

Construction Materials Group is seeking a motivated and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Building Materials Sales Associate. If you have a passion for providing exceptional service and an interest in concrete construction, we want to hear from you!

• Self education on concrete products and construction paractices
• Demonstrate and practice practical applicaton of concrete materials
• Present to the customer as the expert in the field of concrete
• Greet and assist customers in a professional and courteous manner
• Provide product information and recommendations
• Process sales orders
• Load out materials on customer vehicles
• Maintain a clean, stocked, and organized warehouse and showroom
• Become the "expert" in concrete construction and solve problems in a timely and effective manner
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Collaborate with the sales team to meet and exceed customer expectations
• Contribute to achieving sales targets and company objectives

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in sales or construction-related field is a plus
• Proven customer service experience, practical and hands on knowledge
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift up to 50#
• Construction knowledge is desirable, but not required
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in basic computer applications and point-of-sale systems
• Clean Driving record for the past 3 years
• A pre-employment drug screen is required
