Salem Academy Charter School (SACS) is a nationally ranked urban charter school north of Boston, MA offering a rigorous college preparatory program to nearly 500 students in grades 6-12. The next Special Education Paraprofessional at SACS will be responsible for the following in addition to other duties as assigned by their manager:

• Working with and for Students:
  Supporting students in the classroom depending upon their IEPs and instructional needs
• Implementing consistent academic and behavioral procedures to ensure a structured, respectful, and achievement‑oriented environment across classrooms
• Monitoring and analyzing student progress through standards‑based assessments
• Supporting, planning and/or co‑leading Service‑Learning projects
• Working with and for Colleagues:
  Collaborating with Special Education, General Education, and ELD teachers to support students with diverse learning needs
• Building and maintaining strong school culture centered on achievement
• Tracking academic and behavioral data
• Participating in weekly professional development sessions (e.g., Curriculum Teams, workshops)
• Participating in weekly Form Meetings (e.g., grade level teams)

• High School Diploma required
• Associate’s degree or 48 college credit‑hours or passing score on Parapro preferred
• Background clearance
• Preference will be given to candidates that meet all of the requirements above, and:

• Interest in working collaboratively to improve instruction for all students
