The Salem High School Marching Band is currently seeking candidates to fill the following position for the  Marching Band season.

• Attendance at August Band Camp, Tuesday/Thursday night rehearsals, and Saturday rehearsals/competitions (attendance can be flexible with prior notice and planning)
• Coordinate with Band Director and Percussion Director on the season's pedagogical, creative, and competitive goals.
• Introduce, develop, and refine skills needed for competitive marching percussion performance, ranging from beginner to advanced.
• Lead sectional and/or subsectional rehearsals with guidance from the Directors.
• Instruct and provide feedback to students and staff during ensemble rehearsals and in sectional rehearsals.
• Interact with students, parents, and other staff in a professional manner.
• Attend staff meetings and maintain open communication with staff members/director.
• Maintain equipment and make minor repairs, as needed.

• Previous experience performing in battery percussion (High School/College/WGI/DCI, etc.)
• Ability and willingness to work with high school students of varying ability levels and different backgrounds.

This is a stipend position paid by the Salem Music Boosters.
