Bentley Academy Innovation School in partnership with the Multilingual Learner Department of Salem Public Schools launched a two-way immersion Spanish-English Dual Language program with two kindergarten classrooms during the  school year. The two-way immersion program will grow by one grade level each year. The school will add two 4th grade classrooms and a preschool classroom for school year 24–25. The goals of the program are for all students, regardless of language background, to become bilingual and biliterate in Spanish and English, to achieve academically in all subjects at high levels, and to exhibit the skills and disposition of sociocultural competence.

Bentley Academy Innovation School is seeking a bilingual (Spanish/English) tutor to support students in developing literacy, math, and critical thinking skills in both languages in its Dual Language program.

Responsibilities and Timelines

• Provides individual and small group instruction and practice.
• Plans tutoring sessions based on recent data, classroom observations, and teacher consultation.
• Provides progress-monitoring for students receiving additional supports.
• Maintains a weekly schedule; collaborates with interventionists, coaches, classroom teachers, and provides coverage for teachers so that they can meet with instructional coaches to strengthen Tier 1 instruction.
• Other duties as assigned.

Total Compensation

$31.08 to $36.08
