Salem, MA – This position requires the ability to work in the Salem, MA offices.

We are seeking a Commercial Underwriter to perform underwriting across all commercial lending verticals and manage related reporting and compliance responsibilities.

• Perform underwriting across C&I, CRE, Construction, and related verticals in accordance with bank pipeline demands.
• Manage department reporting assignments including Loan Policy Exception, NAICS, Financial Tracking, Concentration of Credit, Annual Review, and other reports requested by the Chief Credit Officer.
• Own the department’s role in completing the bank’s Allowance for Loan Loss reporting quarterly.
• Complete financial statement spreading in Baker Hill in collaboration with the underwriting team.
• Manage the department internship program.
• Demonstrate compliance with banking laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Assist in developing junior personnel and planning workflow for the team.
• Perform other duties as requested.

• Bachelor’s degree from a four‑year college or university.
• Minimum of three to five years of relevant credit underwriting experience.
• Strong knowledge of state regulatory guidelines and compliance.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

$80,000 – $110,000 annually, subject to qualifications, experience, and performance.
