Job Summary
Per Diem Speech‑Language Pathologist – Pediatrics. Afternoon coverage needed at Spaulding Salem Outpatient Center for Children. Responsible to assess, diagnose, treat and help prevent speech, language, cognitive‑communication, voice, swallowing, fluency and other related disorders. Patient care required.
Essential Functions- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
- Implement treatment plans through a variety of techniques and modalities.
- Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
- Educate patients and their families about speech and language disorders, and provide strategies for improving communication.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible patient outcomes.
- Master's Degree in Speech Therapy required.
- Speech‑Language Pathologist state license (generic) required.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech‑Language Pathology (CCC‑SLP) preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
- 1+ year experience required; experience in lieu of a degree not accepted.
- Outpatient experience preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to incorporate new clinical procedures independently.
- Knowledge of state standards, federal and state regulations.
