Outreach and Education Coordinator

The purpose of the Marketplace Outreach and Education Coordinator is to use diverse and comprehensive insurance knowledge to analyze and resolve issues related to individual members, providing education and information to protect their rights. The coordinator will gather facts, assess problems, and propose resolutions. Outreach will include working with existing community engagement efforts and organizations aimed at ensuring that systemically marginalized communities receive quality information to make informed decisions about health coverage options.

The Outreach and Education Coordinator will also provide training and support to Community Partners and Agents who wish to assist in reaching out to and enrolling Oregonians in insurance programs. Partners include Grantees, Agents, Application Assisters, volunteer community organizations, medical providers, and other stakeholders. The position will support outreach and education in Coos, Curry, Josephine, Jackson, Klamath, and Lake counties. It will have a central worksite in Salem, with the option of most work being done remotely after the initial training period.

This position falls under the Program Analyst 2 (PA2) classification. The AA Rate Pay Range for this position is $5,325 - $8,148 USD Monthly. The information in your application will be used to complete an Equal Pay Analysis to determine salary placement upon hire.

What We Are Looking For

Minimum Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, or a related degree, plus two years of experience coordinating or administering a program. OR five years of experience or equivalent education that supports the knowledge and skill requirements for the classification. A valid license and satisfactory driving record are required.

  • Strong technical insurance background.
  • Advanced ability to develop, recommend, and implement effective plans and objectively evaluate progress.
