1. Unit Name:
Float Pool RN (must be willing to Float between 8 different units). 2. Brief Unit
Description:
Float throughout the hospital to all Med/Surg Tele areas (Davenport 5, Davenport 7, Davenport 8, Davenport 9, ED, PH6/7, Pingree 4, & Overflow). 3. Experience
Required:
Two years of acute care hospital experience.
4. Skill Sets
Required:
Telemetry monitoring including measuring intervals and interpreting strips every 4 hours. TR Band experience. Must be able to perform Cardiac Drips and Reading Tele Strips.
5. Clinician to Patient Ratio:
Days & Eves up to 5:1. Nights up to 6:1. 6. Patient Population:
Care for ED border patients; medication nurse in the acute mental health unit, and care for non-vented patients who are transfer ready in the ICU. 7. Bed Count: 371. 8. Census:
Units range from 8 to 41 beds. 9. EMR (Charting System): EPIC. 10. Certifications
Required:
Current Massachusetts RN License. AHA BLS.
