Patient Care Associate

Under the supervision of the Nurse Manager or designate, functions as a member of the nursing team who assists in providing basic care and performs a variety of activities that facilitate the flow of patients through the operating room spaces. This person may perform functional assignments defined by the Nurse Manager or designate which facilitate therapeutic services provided to patients.

Requires good verbal and written communication skills as well as good interpersonal skills necessary to deal with patients and staff. Work presents potential exposure to communicable disease and hazardous materials. Work requires moderate to heavy lifting of patients and equipment. The work requires that a majority of time is spent with either walking or standing. Certification as a Nursing Assistant and BLS are preferred.

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Shift: 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM

Schedule:

5 x 8-hour shifts per week
