Travel RN - Emergency Dept

American Traveler is hiring an ED RN for a 65-bed Emergency Department on night shift with every-other-weekend rotation, requiring 2+ years of ED experience and active MA RN license.

• Active MA RN license (NURSYS and BON primary source verification required, no conditional licenses accepted)
• AHA certified BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
• TNCC and NRP certifications strongly preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Nursing experience required
• Proficient in general ED nursing skills including assessment, documentation, IV insertion, phlebotomy, EKG, cardiac monitoring, point-of-care testing, splinting, critical thinking, and patient education
• Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions accepted

• 65-bed Emergency Department, pod-based, with a separate pediatric pod and separate Acute Mental Health area
• All patient population with an average census of 230 visits/day
• Clinician to patient ratio of 1:4
• Night shift schedule (7:00 PM-7:30 AM) with every other weekend required
• Uses Epic EMR (ASAP module)
• Floating required to the ED Observation wing (16 beds) and AMU (ED Psych OBs)
• Low-frequency day shift rotation (7a-7p, 11a-11p, or 7p-7a) may be requested; night position itself does not rotate
• Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care across adult, pediatric, and behavioral health patient populations
• Free on-site parking available
• Local candidates accepted; local status defined as permanent residence within 60 miles of the facility in Boston
