American Traveler is hiring an Emergency Department RN with 2+ years of ED experience for a night shift position at a busy 65-bed pod-based emergency department requiring active MA licensure.
Details- 65-bed pod-based Emergency Department with separate pediatric pod and Acute Mental Health area
- All patient population with average census of 230 visits per day
- Clinician to patient ratio of 1:4
- Night shift schedule (19:00-07:30) with every-other-weekend requirement
- 36 or 48-hour weekly schedule options available
- No rotating shifts required
- Floating required to ED Observation wing (16 beds) and AMU (ED Psych Observation)
- Uses EPIC EMR with ASAP module
- Active MA RN license required (NURSYS and BON verification required, no conditional licenses accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience required
- AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
- TNCC and NRP certifications strongly preferred
- General ED nursing skills required including assessment, documentation, IV insertion, phlebotomy, EKG, cardiac monitoring, point of care testing, splinting, critical thinking, and patient education
- Flu vaccination required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
- Provide direct patient care across all emergency department patient populations
- Free on-site parking available
- Must reside within 60 miles of Boston for standard travel rate consideration
- Two professional references required for consideration
