American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN for a 13-week night shift and every-other-weekend assignment requiring an active MA RN license and 2 years of ED nursing experience.
Details- 65-bed Emergency Department with pod-based layout, including a separate pediatric pod and Acute Mental Health area
- Serves all patient populations with a census of approximately 230 visits per day
- Clinician to patient ratio of 1:4
- Night shift schedule from 19:00-07:30 with every other weekend required
- Floating required to the ED Observation wing (16 beds) and AMU (ED Psych Observation)
- Rotating shifts may be requested for Day Rotate (7a-7p, 11a-11p, and 7p-7a) on a low-frequency basis, though the night position itself does not rotate
- Uses EPIC EMR, including ASAP module
- Active MA RN license required; conditional or pending licenses not accepted
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
- Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
- TNCC and NRP certifications strongly preferred
- Proficient in general ED nursing skills including assessment, documentation, IV insertion, phlebotomy, EKG, cardiac monitoring, point-of-care testing, splinting, critical thinking, and patient education
- Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
- Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care across a high-volume, high-acuity ED setting
- On-site parking available at no cost
- Local candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the standard travel rate
