American Traveler is hiring an RN
- Telemetry for nights on a Surgical Stepdown unit, requiring active MA RN license and prior telemetry experience.
- Surgical Care unit comprised of two Med/Surg units: a 15-bed unit and an 8-bed Surgical Stepdown unit
- 23 total beds with a census of 23
- Cares for post-surgical patients from General, GYN, Vascular, Thoracic, Urology, Oral, Plastics, and Trauma surgery services
- Patient ratios are 3-5 patients per RN and 6-10 patients per PCA on the Med/Surg unit, and 2-3 patients per RN on the Stepdown unit
- Uses EPIC for charting
- 36 hours per week on night shift, 19:00-07:30
- Every other weekend required
- Floating required
- Night shift does not require shift rotation
- Active MA RN license required, no conditional licenses accepted
- AHA BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in one location plus 2 years of travel experience required
- Must be able to read telemetry strips
- Experience managing chest tubes, NG tubes, epidurals, and capnography required
- Experience managing arterial lines and neo-synephrine preferred
- Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
- Provide telemetry monitoring and post-surgical care to a diverse surgical patient population
- Free on-site parking available
- Local candidates must reside within a 60-mile radius of the facility in Boston
