American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele Float Pool RN for a 36-hour rotating shift position requiring telemetry expertise and the flexibility to float across multiple units.
Details- Float pool position covering 8 different Med/Surg Tele units including Davenport 5, 7, 8, 9, ED, PH6/7, Pingree 4, and Overflow
- Patient population includes ED border patients, acute mental health medication administration, and non-vented ICU transfer-ready patients
- Facility bed count of 371 with unit census ranging from 8 to 41 beds
- Clinician to patient ratio up to 5:1 on days and evenings, up to 6:1 on nights
- 36-hour schedule with Days/Eves rotation and 1 to 3 rotations to Nights per contract
- Every other weekend (EOW) required
- Uses EPIC EMR system
- Active MA RN license required (no conditional licenses accepted)
- AHA BLS certification required
- AHA ACLS certification preferred
- 2 years of acute care hospital experience in one location required
- 2 years of experience working as a Traveler required
- Telemetry monitoring experience including measuring intervals and interpreting strips every 4 hours
- TR Band experience required
- Must be able to perform cardiac drips and read telemetry strips
- Flu vaccine required during flu season with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
- Responsible for cardiac monitoring, cardiac drips, and reading telemetry strips
- Free on-site parking available
- Local candidates accepted with permanent residence within 60 miles of the facility at a reduced rate
