American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele Float Pool RN with active MA RN licensure required, cardiac monitoring expertise, and willingness to float across 8 units on a rotating shift schedule.
Details- Float Pool position covering 8 Med/Surg Telemetry units including Davenport 5, 7, 8, 9, ED, PH6/7, Pingree 4, and Overflow
- Patient population includes ED border patients, acute mental health medication administration, and non-vented ICU transfer-ready patients
- Unit census ranges from 8 to 41 beds within a 371-bed hospital
- Clinician to patient ratio up to 5:1 on days/evenings and up to 6:1 on nights
- Day/evening shift rotation with 1 to 3 rotations to nights per contract, plus every-other-weekend requirement
- 36 or 48 hour weekly schedule options
- Uses EPIC EMR for charting
- Performs telemetry monitoring including interval measurement and strip interpretation every 4 hours
- Performs cardiac drips and TR Band procedures
- Active Massachusetts RN license required (conditional/pending licenses not accepted)
- AHA BLS certification required
- AHA ACLS certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of acute care hospital experience in one location
- Minimum 2 years of experience working as a Traveler
- Telemetry monitoring experience required, including cardiac drip management and strip interpretation
- TR Band experience required
- Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
- Provide telemetry nursing care while floating across multiple Med/Surg units within the hospital
- Must be willing to float to all 8 designated units as assigned
- Free on-site parking available
- Local candidates must reside within 60 miles of the Boston facility to be considered at a reduced local rate
- Timekeeping is managed through UKG/Kronos
