American Traveler is hiring a Medical ICU RN requiring 2+ years of continuous MICU experience and an active Massachusetts RN license for a 13-week assignment at a Level III Trauma Center.

• 20-bed Medical/Surgical ICU within a Level III Trauma Center
• Cares for adult patients with diagnoses including substance abuse/overdose, severe psychiatric conditions, DKA, sepsis, GI bleed, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, renal failure, and cardiogenic shock
• Attendings and residents present in the ICU 24 hours a day
• RN to patient ratio of 1:2 or 1:1 for high acuity patients, and 1:4 or 1:5 when floated to Med/Surg units
• Floating required, primarily to Medical/Surgical units
• Day Rotate positions may rotate between 7a-7p, 11a-11p, and 7p-7a shifts as needed
• Night shift does not rotate
• Works 36 or 48 hours per week including Day Rotate and EOW schedules
• Uses EPIC EMR for charting

• Active Massachusetts RN license required (conditional or pending licenses not accepted)
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of continuous Adult MICU experience required
• Must be competent in reading telemetry strips
• Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed

• Provide direct care to a wide range of critically ill adult patients in a high-acuity ICU setting
• Collaborate closely with attendings and residents present in the unit around the clock
• Free on-site parking available
• Local candidates must reside within 60 miles of Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston and will receive a reduced rate
