American Traveler is hiring an Outpatient Cardiac Rehab RN for a 36-hour, days position requiring an active MA RN license and recent intensive cardiac nursing experience.
Requirements- Active Massachusetts RN license required (conditional/pending licenses not accepted)
- BLS and ACLS certification (AHA preferred)
- NCC Cardiac Vascular Nursing Certification preferred
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing required
- Minimum 2 years of medical/surgical nursing experience
- Minimum 2 years of recent intensive cardiac nursing care experience (other intensive nursing experience considered)
- Experience with telemetry monitoring
- Experience with cardiac risk factor intervention and exercise prescription
- Outpatient day program providing education and exercise programs to cardiac and pulmonary patients
- Multidisciplinary team including RNs, RDs, Exercise Physiologists, and PTs
- Clinician-to-patient ratio of 2 professionals per group at 1:5
- Patient population ages 25 to 90 with recent cardiovascular events (MI, stent, CABG, valve repair/replacement, transplant, HF, stable angina) or pulmonary conditions (COPD, post-COVID, other lung diseases)
- Uses EPIC EMR and a separate telemetry charting system (LSI)
- Day shift program operating 6:45am-5:30pm
- No floating required
- No rotating shifts
- Provide education and exercise-based rehabilitation to cardiac and pulmonary patients
- Free on-site parking available
- Flu vaccine required during flu season with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
- Candidates must reside within 60 miles of the facility to be considered local, which affects pay rate
