Labor & Delivery / Postpartum Registered Nurse (RN)

Salem, MA | Acute Care

Contract | Rotating Shifts (Days, Evenings, and Nights as needed) | Every Other Weekend | 36 or 48 hours per week | Shift times rotate between 7:00am–7:30pm, 11:00am–11:30pm, and 7:00pm–7:30am | Straight days are not available for this position

• Provide direct nursing care to Labor & Delivery and Postpartum patients within a 25-bed unit encompassing L&D, Postpartum, Newborn Nursery, 2 ORs, 2 Recovery Rooms, and 2 ANU rooms
• Manage patient assignments in accordance with established ratios: L&D 1:2–3 for evaluations, 1:1 for active labor, Magnesium drip, or epidural;
  Postpartum 1:3–4
• Perform circulating duties in the OR as required
• Provide newborn care within the unit setting
• Document all patient care accurately using EPIC EMR
• Participate in one night of on-call rotation as part of the schedule

• Current Massachusetts RN License
• AHA BLS Certification
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification
• EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) Certification — required every 2 years for L&D
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Labor & Delivery and Postpartum nursing
• Proficiency in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, OR circulating, and newborn care

• AHA ACLS Certification
• Experience with EPIC EMR documentation
• Comfort working in a high-census, multi-specialty maternal care environment
