Food Service Substitute – Salem School District. No experience required.
Reports to:
Director of School Nutrition / Site Coordinator / Cook in Assigned Building. Job goal:
To serve the students attractive and nutritious meals in an atmosphere of efficiency, cleanliness and warmth.
- Serving nutritious meals in a quick and pleasant manner.
- Ensure that during meal service periods supplies of food offered are replenished regularly.
- Assist in the cleanup of the kitchen, serving areas and cafeteria.
- Assist in the storage and disposal of unused food.
- Frequent physical effort required; walking and standing. Lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Perform various food service tasks as directed by the Director of Food Service and/or Site Coordinator.
- Perform general cleaning duties in cafeteria and may be called upon to set up tables in dining room.
- Interact with students, staff, and colleagues in a pleasant manner.
