As a Field Merchandiser, you'll work independently to showcase organization and time management skills, establish retailer relationships, and serve as the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support seasonal resets and installations when needed. You may also work with other purchased products in the stores you service.
Salary and Schedule Details- Your starting hourly pay rate will be $15.00 – $17.00 depending on your skills and experience.
- Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
- This is a part‑time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
- Average weekly hours are 10–15 hours per week.
- Availability the week before and after major holidays, including weekends, is required.
- Day‑to‑day engagement:
Using a mobile device provided by Hallmark, restock, organize, and monitor the inventory of Hallmark products within and outside the Hallmark department. Technology is critical for reporting time, providing feedback, and answering surveys. Professional and courteous interaction with store employees, management, and customers is essential. - Holiday support:
Leading up to and following holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, expect additional days and extended hours. You may be required to work on the holiday itself, which may include the weekend. - Department resets:
Occasionally you may be part of a team responsible for installations, relocating card departments, and resetting card sections. Typically notified two weeks in advance, this may include evenings or weekends. - Team vision:
As part of Hallmark’s field organization, you are part of a network of merchandisers who often support each other in their territories.
This is a physically demanding job requiring a high level of energy. You will work on the selling floor, back stockrooms, and may need to push, pull, lift, and carry cartons up to 30 pounds, up to 50 pounds occasionally, kneel, squat, walk, stand, and climb stairs or step ladders.
Basic Qualifications- At least 18 years of age.
- Ability to read, write and understand English.
- Ability to lift and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
- Proficiency with a digital handheld device for reading documents and interpreting information.
- Access to Wi‑Fi and internet.
- Consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
