Position: Part Time Occupational Therapist

Department :
Occupational Therapy

Shift: Days, Some Weekends

Purpose

The primary purpose of your job position as an Occupational Therapist is to perform assigned duties in an efficient manner, in accordance with established procedures, and as directed by your supervisor to assure that a successful, viable department is maintained at all times, along with deliveries excellent patient care.

Under the direction of the Rehabilitation Services Director:
Assists in the coordination of activities in the Occupational Therapy Department; coordinates and performs activities dealing with patient evaluations and treatments; coordinates Occupational Therapy program with other hospital departments; plans and presents staff development programs and maintains departmental records; responsible for supplies and equipment; may perform other tasks and assignments as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from a nationally recognized accredited college or university.
  • Experience is preferable but new grads are acceptable.
  • Current Ohio License in Occupational Therapy in compliance with the Ohio OT/PT/rent certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
  • CPR Certification.
  • Must be familiar with different types of equipment use in therapy.
  • Be able to treat a variety of injuries and medical conditions.
  • Must act quickly in emergencies.
  • Competent in the use of Goniometers, Dynamo meters, Cognitive/Perceptual Standardized Testing, Sensory Evaluations.
  • Maintains knowledge of the patient’s age specific needs, infant, child/adolescent, adult and geriatric.
