Retail Sales Associate - Part Time

Pay Rate

$11.00 to $14.00 per hour, plus commission.

Nationwide pawn store locations.

We are seeking entry‑level, part‑time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff to provide customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. They greet, engage, and process sales, loans, and other transactions.

• Greets and interacts with all customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
• Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
• Maintains sales floor cleanliness, stocking, and merchandise displays.
• Performs sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies and regulatory requirements.
• Handles cash and negotiable items in accordance with company policies.
• Answers incoming calls per company standards.
• Communicates legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers.
• Partners with all employees to create a positive customer experience.
• Successfully completes assigned training.
• Other related duties as assigned.

• Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to perform duties for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Can work with firearms and become firearms certified if required.
• May be asked to assist customers outside or retrieve products from external storage areas.
• Minimum age: 18 years old.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team‑oriented.
• Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proficient basic math calculations.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Flexible retail schedule based on business needs, including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate and able to operate point‑of‑sale systems.

• The best working hours: most stores open 9 AM and close 6 PM; many stores closed Sunday.

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2‑8% commission based on the gross profit of personal performance.
