About the RoleWe are committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive team that serves the public and helps address challenging life circumstances. In this role, you will provide moderate to complex clerical support to judges, court administration, or in the courtroom, processing legal documents and records, both hard copy and electronic. You will create case documents, review filings for accuracy, determine next steps, enter data in real-time, and manage monetary transactions such as cash deposits and receipts.
You will interact with judges, attorneys, parties to cases, and members of the public, applying policies and procedures to meet statutory timelines and ensuring access to justice for all.
• The Coos County Circuit Court is hiring a Court Clerk (Court Operations Associate).
• Full-time, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday–Friday (overtime eligible).
• Frequent phone and in-person contact with diverse populations.
- Medical premium coverage 95–99% for full-time employees (up to 99% for part-time), including mental health coverage.
- Salary range $53,136 – $82,440, hourly equivalent $25.55 – $39.64.
- 10 paid holidays, 2 floating holidays, 3 personal business days, separate sick and vacation leave, and optional insurances and flexible spending plans.
- 5% bilingual allowance (including ASL) for qualified individuals.
- Potential for a 5% annual increase.
Coquille, Oregon, a charming city along the Coquille River known for its history, scenic landscapes, and recreational activities.

Minimum Qualifications- At least three (3) years of responsible experience in a moderately complex office or business setting involving financial, administrative, or legal documents.

Requested Skills and Attributes- Experience using a computer to perform clerical or administrative tasks.
- Experience managing workload and meeting deadlines despite frequent interruptions.
- Experience handling cash transactions and maintaining a cash drawer.
- Ability to enter data in real-time while multitasking.
- Ability to work in an environment with frequent public interaction.
- Full‑time position, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday–Friday. Overtime for hours beyond 40.
- Occasional after‑hours work required.
