Payroll Analyst (Statewide/Hybrid) For ODOC, BOPPPS, & OCE Employees Only

Position Overview: The Payroll Analyst supports >4,700 employees across state payroll offices, ensuring accurate payroll, benefits, and leave processing. The role reviews data, applies policies, and trains staff. The analyst works hybrid remote, reporting onsite periodic.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze payroll, benefits, and leave data; recommend improvements.
- Apply agency payroll and benefit policies and procedures.
- Provide training on payroll and benefit systems.
- Instruct staff on timesheet entry and coding.
- liaise with benefits administrators to ensure consistency and compliance.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in payroll or financial data processing, or equivalent education: associate degree with 8-12 semester hours in accounting/business/finance.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification, or 1 year of payroll experience with 5 semester hours in accounting/business/finance.
- Current ODOC, BOPPPS, and OCE employee (contract workers excluded).
Preferred
Skills:
- Workday Payroll and Time Tracking experience (minimum 2 months).
- Knowledge of FMLA, OFLA, ACA, retirement benefits, and payroll regulations.
- Strong bookkeeping, payroll, and data analysis skills.
- Workday system proficiency.
