POSITION OVERVIEW

The onsite working paving foreman will be responsible for overseeing, directing and coordinating the activities of project personnel to ensure that the project progresses efficiently, on schedule, and within the allocated budget. This role requires close collaboration with management, office staff and project managers, general contractors, and customers to successfully implement project plans from start to finish.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Proven experience as a Paving Foreman or in a similar role.
  • Must have proven expertise in Asphalt Paving and best practices and have equipment operator experience specific to Asphalt Paving.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
TEAM LEADER SHIP
  • Lead and supervise paving laborers, including assigning tasks and monitoring progress.
  • Provide support and guidance to ensure team productivity and project success.
SCHEDULE & BUDGET MANAGEMENT
  • Monitor and manage project timelines to ensure milestones are met and that the project stays within budget.
  • Identify potential delays or issues and take corrective action as needed.
COMMUNICATION & COLLABORATION
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for management, office personnel, project managers, general contractors, and customers.
  • Foster effective communication across teams to ensure clarity and resolve any challenges or conflicts.
QUALITY CONTROL
  • Ensure that all project activities are conducted in compliance with established quality standards and safety regulations.
  • Address any concerns regarding the quality of work and implement necessary improvements.
RISK MANAGEMENT
  • Proactively identify potential project risks and develop strategies to mitigate or resolve them.
  • Address any unforeseen issues that may arise during the project.
REPORTING & DOCUMENTATION

Provide regular project status updates to management and ensure all project documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with company standards.

PROJECT CLOSE-OUT

Oversee the successful completion of the project and ensure customer satisfaction.
