Steel Drafter / Designer DIRECT HIRE!

What You’ll Do- Use advanced CAD software to create detailed fabrication and installation drawings — including bills of materials — for custom steel projects.
- Work closely with engineering, production, and project management to ensure drawings meet company standards and support on-time delivery for our customers.
- Create accurate fabrication and installation drawings using AutoCAD 2D / 3D and Inventor.
- Prepare detailed layouts, schematics, and bills of materials per project requirements.
- Ensure all drawings meet departmental and company quality standards.
- Complete drawings within the time frames established by the Drafting Supervisor to support production schedules.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and production staff to resolve design or fabrication issues.
- Support continuous improvement and contribute ideas for process and quality enhancements.
- Perform other drafting or design-related tasks as assigned by the Drafting Supervisor or General Manager.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Inventor.
- At least 3+ years experience with Tekla / XSteel.
- Familiarity with AISC and ASTM specifications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook).
- Strong reasoning, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external partners.
- Competitive wage (market-based for Oregon).

- Paid Time Off : 80 hours (1st year) increasing to hours (7th year).
