Dermatopathologist

Description

As a Dermatopathologist, you will be responsible for examining skin tissue samples and diagnosing skin diseases and conditions. You will work in a laboratory setting to analyze samples and communicate findings to other medical professionals.

Responsibilities:

- Conducting examinations and interpreting results of skin tissue samples

- Diagnosing skin diseases and conditions

- Communicating findings to other medical professionals

- Working with other medical professionals to develop treatment plans for patients

- Maintaining accurate and detailed records of patient diagnoses and treatments

- Staying up-to-date with advancements in dermatopathology research and technology

Requirements

• Medical degree (MD or DO)
• Residency training in dermatology and fellowship training in dermatopathology
• Board certification in dermatopathology
• State medical license to practice medicine
• Strong understanding of clinical dermatology and pathological techniques
• Proficiency in analyzing and interpreting microscopic tissue samples
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare professionals
