This is a part‑time faculty pool for available assignments during the academic year. Applications are considered throughout the year and reviewed based on department need.   • Cover Letter – Your cover letter should explain how your education and work experience qualify you for this position.
  • Examples of Work – Provide a portfolio of 2D artwork. Your portfolio should consist of and meet the following criteria:
    • Submit 40 total images: 20 of your own 2D work and 20 of student work you instructed.
    • Each image must have a description: year, dimensions, materials, technique.
    • Accepted file types: bmp, doc, docx, htm, html, jpe, jpeg, jpg, pdf, png, ppt, pptx, tif, tiff.
    • Max file size: 10MB per file. Compress as needed to ensure clarity and viewability.
  • Unofficial Transcripts – An electronic copy of your academic transcript(s) from an accredited institution which clearly indicate the degree awarded, and any other applicable information, must be attached with your application if you would like it considered as part of your eligibility for the position. Any applicants who earned academic credentials from outside of the United States and wish to use those credits for consideration must also upload an evaluation of college credit earned at the non‑U.S. institution.
Responsibilities
  • Teach assigned courses following current approved course outlines.
  • Meet during scheduled class times.
  • Prepare and develop materials for assigned classes/labs according to program expectations.
  • Provide students with class syllabi.
  • Deliver course content using appropriate methods for student needs and program curriculum.
Course Management & Student Success
  • Provide a classroom environment conducive to learner growth.
  • Understand, develop, and provide a learning environment that supports diversity and incorporates a sensitivity to diversity in the workplace.
  • Maintain student records of grades and attendance in accordance with college procedures.
  • Respond to student inquiries and provide feedback in a timely manner.
  • Communicate available college resources to students.
Instructional Program Responsibilities
  • Maintain timely communication with college program and supervisor.
  • Stay current on program goals, processes and outcomes.
  • Participate in program assessment and college accreditation.
