Fiscal Health Analyst – Oregon Department of Education

The Office of Finance and Information Technology (OFIT) seeks a Fiscal Health Analyst to support statewide fiscal health and early‑warning programs. The analyst will monitor, analyze, and report on the financial condition of Oregon school districts and education service districts (ESDs).
Key Responsibilities- Conduct structured analysis of district financial data and identify fiscal health indicators.
- Support fiscal health dashboards, workflow updates, and early‑warning indicator identification.
- Assist in preparing district fiscal profiles and perform baseline trend analysis.
- Perform routine quality checks on district submissions and cross‑validate with audit reports.
- Provide analytical, research, and data support to the Fiscal Transparency Unit.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related analytical or technical field.
- Three years of management, policy, or budgetary support experience, or equivalent.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Comfort working with Excel and financial systems.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Professionalism, reliability, and a positive attitude toward continuous improvement.
- Interest in public service and contributing to transparency, accountability, and responsible stewardship of public funds.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with analysts and stakeholders.
