Hairstylist

Are you a licensed Hair Stylist with a passion for service and a heart for helping others feel their best? We’re seeking a compassionate and dependable Hair Stylist to provide haircuts and grooming services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). This part-time role requires a skilled stylist who excels in cutting, coloring, and styling hair, while also having the ability to connect with clients and deliver personalized care tailored to their unique needs.

* Key Responsibilities:

• Provide a variety of hair services, including cutting, coloring, texturizing, and styling, while staying on top of the latest trends and techniques.
• Consult with clients to understand their hair goals and preferences, recommending services and products tailored to their needs.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, fostering repeat business and referrals.
• Stay updated on the latest industry trends, techniques, and best practices through ongoing education and training.
• Promote salon products and services to clients and assist with sales as needed.
• Collaborate with other stylists and team members to foster a positive working environment.
• Maintain accurate client records, including preferences and service history.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Hairstylist in a salon environment (minimum 1 year preferred). Active License in Cosmetology, Hair Design, and Barbering issued by the Oregon Health Licensing Office Proficiency in a range of hair cutting and coloring techniques.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-centric approach.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple clients.
• Creative flair and an eye for detail, with a passion for the hair and beauty industry.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
