Job Summary

Assist DME/Sleep Specialist provide customer service to CPAP patients by dispensing supplies, restocking supplies, scheduling patients, assisting walk‑in patients, processing paperwork, performing clerical duties, answering phones, and calling patients. Provide minor adjustments to equipment for patients.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Provide support to DME/Sleep Specialist by assisting patients who need replacement parts for CPAP/BiLevel equipment and minor adjustments.
  • Clerical duties include checking patients in for CPAP appointments, processing paperwork, scheduling appointments, filing, copying, etc.
  • Answer member questions and needs, direct them to appropriate resources, confirm PCP orders, and collaborate with DME/Sleep Specialist & clinical supervisor to provide customer service.
  • Complete and document telephone encounters on Epicare.
  • Assist with supply ordering, equipment inventory, and office supplies.
  • Assist in tracking equipment, repairs, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned by clinical supervisor.
Basic Qualifications
  • One (1) year of experience in a hospital or medical office setting.
Education
  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
License, Certification, Registration
  • N/A
Additional Requirements
  • Medical terminology knowledge and high‑quality customer service skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good organizational skills; excellent telephone skills.
  • Intermediate computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two (2) years of Kaiser experience.
  • Knowledge of Kaiser Permanente systems, sleep patient needs, and CPAP equipment.
  • KARE, OA, Epicare, Excel, and Word computer skills.
