Indian Health Service – Pharmacist

Provide direct pharmaceutical care for Indian Health Service patients, including chronic disease management and acute care. Serve as a clinical pharmacist and key source of pharmaceutical information.

• Interpret prescriptions, review labeling and directions to ensure safe dispensing.
• Provide medication counseling, drug interaction reviews, dosage and storage guidance.
• Manage patient records, pharmacy files, inventories, and narcotics/control‑drug documentation.
• Compound and dispense medications per physician/ dentist orders.
• Act as pharmacy consultant/advisor to therapeutic, research, and infection control committees.
• Perform on‑call and standby duty as required.

• Bachelor/Doctoral degree in Pharmacy from an ACPE accredited program or equivalent.
• Pass NAPLEX and MPJE exams; hold a current U.S. pharmacy license (state, DC, PR, or U.S. territory).
• U.S. citizenship;
  Selective Service Registration for males born after 12/31/1959.
• 3+ years of progressive pharmacy experience, including dispensing and medication therapy management.
• Medical or clinical experience in population‑based settings preferred.
• Knowledge of drug interactions, therapeutic duplications, and adverse drug events.
• Ability to maintain medication records in compliance with federal regulations.

Competitive salary range: $–$ (West Oregon), $98,000.00–$ (Oregon), and $87,360.00–$ (Oregon). Includes work‑day travel, tuition assistance, and government benefits.

Multiple locations in Oregon (Woodburn, Salem, Albany). Candidates may select up to five locations.
