- Manage and monitor Workday security roles and access across the enterprise.
- Analyze and configure security settings to meet evolving business needs based on role‑based access control principles.
- Provide primary support for security‑related issues.
- Collaborate with agency partners to ensure compliance with security policies.
- Provide guidance to agency security partners relevant to role‑based security assignments within their organization.
- Lead training and communication efforts for agency security partners.
- Test and validate Workday updates and enhancements.
- Serve as a subject‑matter expert on the Workday security and reporting team.
- Design, build, and maintain Workday reports and dashboards that empower data‑driven decisions across the state.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, Finance, Political Science, or a related field AND four years of professional‑level evaluative, analytical, and planning work.
- OR any combination of experience and education equivalent to seven years of experience that typically supports the knowledge and skills for this classification.
- Education and/or experience must include working with HCM, payroll, or related systems.
- Proven experience supporting and administering system security, including access controls, user roles, and compliance monitoring.
- Demonstrated ability in configuring, troubleshooting, and developing reports or dashboards using relevant tools and modules.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data, identify trends or issues, and provide accurate solutions.
- Experience working with HR or payroll systems with an understanding of statewide policies, union agreements, or compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated clear verbal and written communication; experience providing training or guidance to individuals or groups.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively across diverse teams and interested parties to achieve shared goals.
- Demonstrated ability to identify issues, evaluate options, and implement practical solutions.
- Experience adapting to new technology or policies and improving systems, processes, or workflows.
- Demonstrated commitment to data privacy, compliance, and maintaining ethical standards in handling sensitive information.
