Job Summary IBM Tivoli Output Manager (TOM) for z/OSRole Summary  r  nIBM Tivoli Output Manager (TOM) for z/OS professional is responsible for managing, controlling, archiving, distributing, and securing mainframe output (reports, spool data, SYSOUT) across enterprise environments. The role supports operations, compliance, and user access to critical outputs generated by batch and online systems.  r  n  r  nKey Responsibilities  r  n  r  n
• Manage JES spool output (SYSOUT) and ensure proper capture, retention, and archiving  r  n
• Configure and maintain Tivoli Output Manager policies for report distribution  r  n
• Automate output routing to users, printers, datasets, or external systems  r  n
• Ensure timely delivery of business-critical reports  r  n
• Install, configure, and upgrade Tivoli Output Manager in z/OS environments  r  n
• Customize output definitions, indexing, and retention rules  r  n
• Integrate TOM with JES2/JES3, SDSF, and security tools  r  n
• Monitor output queues, report generation, and job outputs  r  n
• Troubleshoot failures related to spool, report capture, or distribution  r  n
• Support production batch cycles and ensure high availability  r  n
• Implement access controls for reports and archived outputs  r  n
• Ensure compliance with data retention and audit policies  r  n
• Support encryption, masking, and secure report delivery  r  n
• Analyze spool usage and optimize output storage  r  n
• Tune system for efficient report processing and retrieval  r  n
• Manage archival processes to avoid spool overflow  r  n
• Automation tools (Net View, SA z/OS)  r  n
• Scheduling tools (IWS, ESP)  r  n
• Repository/archival solutions  r  n
• Participate in on-call and DR exercises  r  n
