Salary Range: $8,658.00 – $13,392.00 (PERS)

Employment Type: Management Service-Supervisory, limited duration ending 11/1/2027 (potential permanent)

Location: Primarily remote with occasional in‑office work; valid driver’s license or acceptable transportation required.

What You Will Do

This position plans, organizes, and manages information, data systems, and research that support regulatory operations and implement educational and workforce development initiatives. The Director will provide strategic counsel to the Assistant Superintendent for Education Innovation and Improvement while managing day‑to‑day projects and maintaining cross‑agency relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage data systems and research initiatives supporting regulatory operations, school improvement, and workforce development.
  • Oversee applied research and performance data analysis to inform policy, monitor outcomes, and advance equity and student success statewide.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop professional staff, ensuring effective team performance and alignment with agency goals.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor and partner to the Assistant Superintendent, contributing to policy development, budget management, and statewide education initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with school districts, colleges, and community partners to promote collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Seven years of supervision, management, or progressively related experience; OR four years of related experience and a bachelor’s degree in a related field.

  • Skill in soliciting and valuing diverse viewpoints.
  • Experience with policy development, implementation, and legislative protocols and processes.
  • Experience conducting quantitative and qualitative research.

Additional Information

The range listed is the non‑PERS salary range. PERS participants receive a 6.95% increase and a 6% employee contribution. Salary is determined by pay equity assessment. The posting closes 11/59 PM (PDT) on 11/16/2025. Background check and I‑9 requirements apply. Visa sponsorship is not offered.
