Job Overview
NWCare Inc is seeking a full‑time Traveling Embedded Podiatry Training Specialist who excels in detailed, professional environments and can provide exceptional training to our Medical Staff.
Responsibilities- Supervise and train medical staff in podiatric examinations of lower extremities, including vascular, nervous, integumentary, and musculoskeletal assessments.
- Train staff on evaluation and management of toenail debridements using powered and sterilized hand instruments.
- Instruct staff on identification of calluses and soft corns and demonstrate appropriate treatment protocols.
- Train staff in the use of podiatry powered medical equipment, including setup, calibration, safety, deinfection, transportation, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance.
- Teach proper hand instrument sterilization procedures, including disinfection, ultrasonic pre‑washing, loading of instruments, and biweekly autoclave validation logs.
- Educate staff on aerobic and anaerobic culture swab techniques and antibiotic stewardship protocols.
- Educate staff on biomechanical evaluation of lower extremity wounds and treatment protocols.
- Document medical physical exam findings and formulate assessment and plans with medical scribes.
- Develop and review clinical protocols in accordance with standard of care and implement research directives of the company CEO and Medical Director.
- Maintain punctual, regular attendance and possess reliable transportation for travel with team in company vehicle.
- Foreign MBBS degree and foreign podiatry bachelor’s education in UK or Australia.
- Adequate training in podiatry or relevant experience. Applicant review will be case‑by‑case.
- Citizen of Canada or Mexico, qualified for TN Visa under NAFTA regulations.
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) with provincial medical license (Canada or Mexico).
This position requires regular (21‑50% of the position) in‑state travel to provide mobile podiatry team training and supervision at assisted living and nursing homes statewide Oregon. Travel will primarily consist of day trips but may also include overnights.
