Overview

Location: 2973 12th Street SE, Salem, Oregon, 97302
Department: Urology Clinic
Position Type: Full Time, Exempt 1.0 FTE
Schedule: Monday - Friday, four eight-hour shifts per week (plus call) split between clinic and operating room

Your role with us

Salem Health is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join our expert urology team. In this role, you will collaborate with physicians and other members of the health care team to manage patient care in hospital, surgical, and ambulatory settings. Your work will span clinic visits, hospital rounds, operating room assistance, and patient education while helping us deliver exceptional, compassionate care across the full spectrum of urologic services.

Our urology team provides comprehensive diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of urologic conditions while delivering advanced, evidence-based care close to home. From minimally invasive procedures to complex surgeries, we are dedicated to improving our patients’ health with compassion, expertise, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Our collaborative, patient-centered approach ensures that every individual receives personalized care and support at every stage of treatment.

What

you ll do
  • Conduct patient assessments, develop care plans, and manage both acute and chronic conditions.
  • Perform clinic procedures and post-operative follow-ups.
  • Assist urologists in the operating room.
  • Round on hospitalized patients, write orders, and coordinate care.
  • Order and review diagnostic tests, labs, medications, and consults per standing or verbal orders.
  • Educate patients and families, and participate in community education activities.
  • Contribute to development of patient care protocols and improvements to the electronic medical record.
Required qualifications

Nurse Practitioner (NP):

  • Master’s degree or higher in Nursing or equivalent field recognized by the Oregon Board of Nursing.
  • Completion of a Nurse Practitioner program recognized by the Oregon Board of Nursing.
  • Current, unencumbered RN license and NP certificate in the State of Oregon.
  • Valid NP national certification and DEA registration.

Physician Associate (PA):

  • Successful completion of an accredited PA program.
  • Successful completion of the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination.
  • Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
  • Current Physician Associate license in good standing issued by the Oregon Medical Board.
