American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele unit requiring at least 1 year of recent telemetry experience and an active or pending Oregon RN license.

• 13-week assignment on a Med/Surg Tele (MS/Tele) unit within a short-term acute care, Magnet-designated, Level II Trauma teaching hospital
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from
• RN to patient ratio of 1:4 (up to 1:6 depending on unit needs)
• Every other weekend required, but not guaranteed every weekend
• Floating required within scope, including to a nearby affiliated hospital approximately 15 minutes away
• Uses Epic for charting
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Block scheduling not accommodated

• Active or pending Oregon RN license required at time of submission
• BLS certification required through AHA
• ACLS and NIHSS certifications preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience within the last 3 years in MS/Tele/PCU required
• Neuro trauma stepdown experience with NIHSS certification preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• Skilled in telemetry monitoring, cardiac rhythm interpretation, and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience managing cardiac drips (e.g., nitro, Cardizem, amiodarone, Nicardipine) required
• Experience with peripheral line care/management, O2 protocols, and non-invasive airway management required
• Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE use required
• IV start skills preferred
• Rapid response team activation experience required

• Provide direct patient care on a newly opened 30-bed Surgical Neuro Trauma Care Unit (SNTCU) within a hospital expansion tower
• Unit serves patients with a wide variety of medical and neurological conditions, with plans to transition into a Surgical Neuro Trauma ICU/IMCU in the coming years
• Scrub color required: royal blue
• Free parking provided on site
• Requests for time off (RTO) exceeding 2 weeks require approval and must be finalized prior to consideration
• Local candidates accepted
• Former employees of the health system are ineligible for assignments until 6 months after their termination date
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
• Travel experience preferred but not required
