Travel RN - Med​/Surg Tele

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg Tele RN for a 13-week day shift assignment requiring active Oregon RN licensure and recent telemetry experience.

• Active Oregon RN license required (pending license accepted)
• BLS certification through AHA required
• ACLS and NIHSS certifications preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience within the last 3 years in MS/Tele/PCU required
• Neuro trauma stepdown experience with NIHSS certification preferred
• Level II Trauma Center experience preferred
• Experience managing telemetry, cardiac rhythm interpretation, and dysrhythmias required
• Experience with cardiac drips including nitro, Cardizem, amiodarone, and Nicardipine required
• Competency in non-invasive airway management and peripheral line care required
• Experience with rapid response team activation required
• Isolation precaution and PPE experience required
• Computerized documentation experience required
• Epic EMR charting experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred

• MS/Tele unit within a Magnet-designated, Level II Trauma teaching hospital
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from
• RN to patient ratio of 1:4-6
• Every other weekend required, but not exceeding standard rotation
• Floating required, with priority to nearby West Valley Hospital
• Epic charting system used
• 36 or 48 hour per week scheduling options available
• 13-week contract length
• Provide care on a newly opened 30-bed Surgical Neuro Trauma Care Unit (SNTCU) located on the fourth floor of the hospital's new Building A expansion tower
• Unit serves patients with a wide variety of medical and surgical neuro trauma conditions
• Facility is transitioning toward becoming a Surgical Neuro Trauma ICU/IMCU unit in coming years
• Royal blue scrubs required
• Free on-site parking provided
• RTO requests exceeding 2 weeks require facility approval and must be finalized prior to consideration
• Block scheduling is not accommodated
• Floating to West Valley Hospital may be required; refusal to float may result in contract cancellation
• Local candidates accepted
• Former employees of the health system are ineligible for assignment until six months after termination date
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
