American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg-Ortho RN with recent MS/Tele experience and BLS certification for a 46-bed Orthopedic and Joint Replacement Center of Excellence unit.

• 46-bed Orthopedic and Joint Replacement Center of Excellence unit treating surgical and non-surgical musculoskeletal conditions, including fractures, degenerative disease, and total joint replacements
• RN patient ratio of 1:4-6
• Day shift schedule, 4x12 hours, 7:00 AM-7:30 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Floating within scope may be required, including to a nearby affiliated hospital approximately 15 minutes away
• Epic charting system used

• Active RN license (Oregon pending license accepted)
• BLS certification through AHA required
• Minimum 1 year of experience within the last 3 years in MS/Tele required
• Epic charting experience required
• Skills required:
  
  interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, O2 protocol, non-invasive airway management, peripheral line care/management, isolation precautions/PPE, rapid response team activation, and computerized documentation
• Orthopedic experience not required; training provided upon hire

• Located in a Magnet-designated, teaching hospital with Level II Trauma Center status
• Facility was the first in Oregon to receive a Center of Excellence Disease Specific Certification from The Joint Commission for total hip and knee replacements
• Strong interdisciplinary teamwork contributes to high-quality patient outcomes
• Royal blue scrubs required
• RTO requests exceeding 2 weeks require approval and must be finalized prior to consideration
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

• Former employees of the health system are not eligible for assignments until six months after their termination date
