American Traveler is hiring an experienced OR RN for a day shift Operating Room role requiring 2 years of OR experience and Epic charting proficiency.

• Operating Room setting within a hospital environment
• Day shift schedule (4x12 hours, 7:00 AM-7:30 PM)
• Weekday scheduled shifts are 10 hours with possible weekday night call shifts of 8 hours (11:00 PM-7:00 AM)
• Weekend scheduled and call shifts may be 10 or 12 hours
• Up to 6 shifts of call and/or weekend scheduled shifts per 6-week schedule
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Uses Epic charting system
• Floating required, primarily to West Valley Hospital (approximately 15 minutes away) and other nearby affiliated facilities

• Active RN license (Oregon license not required at submission, pending licensure acceptable)
• Active Oregon CNA license required and in hand (pending not accepted)
• BLS certification required
• ACLS and CNOR certifications preferred
• Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience required
• Prior charge nurse experience preferred
• Trauma Level I or Level II hospital experience preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• Robust experience in a wide range of surgical specialties preferred, including vascular, gynecology, orthopedic, neurology, general surgery, urology, robotics, thoracic, and trauma procedures

• Perform circulating and/or scrub duties across a broad range of surgical specialties and procedures
• Experience with electrosurgical units, fiber optic light sources, and Steris equipment utilized
• Familiarity with robotic surgical systems such as Da Vinci Xi and Mako Surgical System is a plus
• Knowledge of infection control, specimen handling, Universal Protocol (time out) procedures, and emergency response protocols expected
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Former Salem Health employees are not eligible for assignment until six months have passed since their termination date
• Candidates may only be considered for one position within the Salem Health system at a time
• Block scheduling is not accommodated
• Requested time off (RTO) must be finalized prior to consideration
