General Manager

DND Groups is a privately held franchise management company overseeing more than 62 quick service restaurants nationwide. We proudly represent five internationally recognized brands:
Dairy Queen, Noodles & Co., Paris Baguette, Taco John’s, and Zaxby’s. Recently, DND Groups was named one of the Top 200 Restaurant Groups by Nation’s Restaurant News. We are seeking a growth-minded manager to lead our team at the Dairy Queen location in Salem, Oregon.

Responsibilities

• Build and develop a trusted team by guiding, supporting, and motivating crew members and shift leaders.
• Maintain positive working relationships with all staff and foster a cooperative and pleasant work environment to maximize morale, productivity, and efficiency.
• Hire, train, and develop shift managers; conduct employee performance reviews.
• Ensure the team provides an excellent guest experience in all areas.
• Use the restaurant’s profit & loss statements to optimize sales and profits by analyzing COGS and taking corrective actions as needed.
• Manage inventory, forecast demand changes, and adjust labor accordingly.
• Ensure proper staffing to drive sales, prepare and approve crew schedules to meet staffing and labor goals.
• Respond promptly to customer complaints, resolve issues, and identify areas for improvement.
• Organize and implement local marketing initiatives, incorporating regional and national promotions to increase sales.
• Exercise sound judgment in decision-making and report issues to the district manager.

Qualifications / Skills

• Minimum of 3-5 years of restaurant management experience; quick service experience preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong sense of urgency, ability to thrive under pressure, and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent customer service skills and adaptability to diverse team members and customers.
• Proven management success demonstrated through effective control of COGS and labor.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to oversee all aspects of a dynamic restaurant.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Strong ownership mentality, being available to the store 24/7 to support the team and ensure operational continuity.
