Bear Staffing is seeking a skilled and safety-focused Sawyer to join our team. The Sawyer will be responsible for operating saws and related equipment to cut, trim, and prepare wood and other materials used in modular building construction. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety and quality.

• Operate power saws, hand saws, and other cutting equipment safely and efficiently
• Measure, mark, and cut wood, panels, and other building materials according to specifications
• Inspect materials to ensure quality standards are met before and after cutting
• Maintain saws and equipment in good working condition; perform minor repairs as needed
• Follow blueprints, schematics, and work orders to complete projects accurately
• Adhere to all company safety policies and OSHA standards
• Assist team members in material handling, staging, and assembly as required

• Previous experience as a sawyer, carpenter, or in a related construction role preferred
• Knowledge of lumber grades, wood types, and proper cutting techniques
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and measurements accurately
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy materials as needed
• High school diploma or equivalent
