MTM Transit, in partnership with the Salem Area Mass Transit, is looking for Full Time Drivers to operate the ADA Paratransit, Shop & Ride and Fixed Regional routes in Salem, OR. We currently have training classes that start every other week!

• Hourly Rate : $20.30 per hour

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Must possess a valid Oregon Class B CDL
• Must have a minimum of 5 years driving history
• No more than five (5) moving violations in three (3) years
• No more than two (2) at-fault or chargeable accidents in the past five (5) years
• No suspension or revocations of driving privileges within the past (5) years
• No conviction in the last 10 years of : a felony, drug and alcohol offense. Reckless driving, hit & run, leaving the scene of an accident, negligent driving, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, vehicular assault or homicide.
• Must be able to pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug / alcohol screening
• Must pass criminal background check investigation & Motor Vehicle record checkli>
• Valid authorization to work in the United States
• Must provide a resume with a minimum of 10 years work history

• Ability to use a tablet, GPS, two-way radio, or other electronic device
• Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality
• Ability to communicate with others and comprehend instructions
• Ability to understand highway traffic signs, signals, maps, manifests, and schedules
• Ability to obtain knowledge of FTA, ADA, and DOT regulations
• Familiarity with the main roadways and major highways in the service area

• Provide safe and reliable transportation
• Demonstrate excellent defensive driving skills
• Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders
• Must assist with passenger loading and unloading from vehicle
• Must assist with any mobility device and securement as required for safety protocols
• Ensure the on-time pick-up and drop off of the customer
• Demonstrates understanding and sensitivity to the needs of older adults and individuals with disabilities
• Complete thorough vehicle pre-trip, post-trip, and DVI inspections as required
• Complete paperwork as required
• Utilize tablets or electronic devices as required
