Job Summary:

Established cardiothoracic surgery program at Lewis Gale Medical Center in Salem, Virginia is seeking an experienced cardiothoracic surgeon.

Qualified Candidates:

• Board certified or board eligible
• 5+ year of experience preferred
• Superb communication skills and a passion for program development and collaboration
• Experience and comfort level with heart bypass surgery , valve repair and replacement (including open and endovascular aortic procedures)
• Minimally invasive lung surgery
• Knowledge and experience with advanced technologies to reduce the invasiveness of thoracic and cardiovascular procedures
• Capable of doing complex cases in independent setting
• Must be licensed or eligible to be licensed in the state of Virginia
• Must be a lawful permanent resident or legal member of the US
• Leadership opportunity available, if desired
• 1:2 call schedule
