Radiology Technologist – Salem, VA
Schedule:
Full‑time
• Days/ Evening / Nights (8‑10‑hr shifts, 40‑hour week). Will work every other weekend or one weekend a month – flexible on shifts. On‑call – Required.
You will provide information to diagnose patient illnesses by operating radiologic equipment to produce radiographs. Prior to each exam, you will prepare the patient for radiological procedure through proper positioning and image technique, adjusting immobilization devices, moving equipment into the specified position, and adjusting equipment controls to set exposure factors.
- You will maintain production and quality of radiographs by following established standards and procedures.
- Document patient care services by charting patient and department records.
- You will review each exam for technical accuracy and identify anatomical orientation on all images.
- Assist the radiologist in administering medications, contrast agents and all types of care to the patient.
- Participate in emergency call rotation to meet department needs.
8‑hour shifts of call per month (depending on staffing needs). Call is used for emergencies, call‑outs, gaps in schedule and department workload.
EducationAssociate's degree or equivalent;
Military Radiologic Technologist training.
- REQUIRED
:
Current American Registry of Radiologic Technology/ARRT. - REQUIRED
:
State license (VA) in process by submission (could take 8‑10 weeks). - Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- American Society of Radiologic Technology preferred.

Compensation- Pay Rates:
Up to $38/hr (based on years of experience). - Shift Diffs:
