We want you to apply!

As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, you would provide occupational therapy services to our patients utilizing therapeutic modalities, exercises, and other treatment skills as directed by the primary Occupational Therapist. You would communicate the patient’s condition and progress with the Occupational Therapist, as well as document patient’s treatment and status.

• You would prepare patient for treatment as requested by the Occupational Therapist.
• Address and review all goals in the plan of care with Occupational Therapist and patient.
• Treat patients according to plan using conventional treatments methods using therapeutic modalities, while also applying critical thinking skills and potential alternatives to recommend to primary physical therapist.
• Uses available and additional resources to reinforce patient related education or instructions and home exercise program.

Preferred:
Previous Experience in an acute care hospital

Required:

Graduation from an accredited course of study for an Occupational Therapist Assistant OR Possession of a valid Virginia license to practice as an Occupational Therapist Assistant OR in the process of obtaining licensure within 90 days through a traineeship and board exam.

Required:

CPR certification or certified within 90 days of employment.

Preferred:
Advance training in a specialty area related to specialized patient populations.

Full time day shift (rotating weekends)
