This role is essential in the hospital environment. You will perform daily and periodic cleaning tasks in assigned areas to maintain a clean, safe, and attractive environment for patients, visitors, and other staff members.
Responsibilities- Sanitize floors, walls, windows, doors, fixtures, furnishings, stairways, elevators, entrances/exits, horizontal surfaces, bathrooms, unit common areas, utility rooms and patient rooms.
- Perform maintenance and restorative cleaning tasks as needed.
- Comply with Infection Control policies using proper tools, body mechanics, and lifting techniques.
- Demonstrate respect for personal dignity and values when interacting with patients, families and visitors.
- Pursue opportunities for improvement, showcase flexibility and adaptability in assignments, and understand that assigned areas may change based on hospital needs as determined by Environmental Services Leadership.
- High School Diploma or GED (preferred).
- At least 1 year of Environmental Services or Housekeeping experience (preferred).
