Assistant Shift Supervisor

Job Overview

Marvin Composites is hiring an Assistant Shift Supervisor at our Salem, VA plant. We’re looking for a proactive leader with manufacturing experience who is comfortable working around equipment. You’ll support our production team and shift supervisors to keep operations running smoothly. This role focuses on developing people, building a strong team culture, and making sure we deliver safe, high‑quality work every day.

Schedule: 6:30 AM - 6:45 PM

Week 1 (36hrs):
Sun, Wed, Thur

Week 2 (48hrs):
Mon, Tues, Fri, Sat

Enjoy a 3‑day weekend every other week! Work just 7 out of every 14 days, giving you more time for family, hobbies, or rest.

Pay:

Base rate: $26‑35/hr

$4.00/hr weekend premium

Effective wage potential (base + weekend premium + OT): $29‑39/hr

• Support the development of a positive team culture aligned with company values
• Promote a safe work environment and reinforce strong safety habits across the shift
• Coach, train, and mentor your direct reports while encouraging skill growth and self‑sufficiency
• Help lead continuous improvements by supporting SOP updates, post‑crash reviews, and practical process improvements
• Partner with the Shift Supervisor to keep the shift running smoothly and maintain a productive, team‑focused environment

• 3+ years of manufacturing experience preferred
• Technical degree preferred
• Ability to identify root causes and recommend practical solutions
• Experience leading others preferred
