Lewis Gale Medical Center invites you to join our dedicated RN Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) in the Emergency Department. This role is essential to delivering high quality, patient-centered care and coordinating all unit functions during your shift.
Job SummaryAs a Clinical Nurse Coordinator, you will collaborate with the nursing team, manage patient care, and ensure compliance with established policies and procedures. You will model commitment to the organization’s vision and mission, and support an unparalleled patient experience.
Responsibilities- Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient-centered care.
- Participate in ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
- Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
- Support facility efforts to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
- Provide recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff. Recommend and implement courses of action, including training and development, conflict resolution, personnel policy compliance, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions to ensure a competitively better organization.
- Assist with staff scheduling and manage all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines.
- Support proper inventory control and assist with managing supplies and equipment.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- (RN) Registered Nurse.
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support, or PALS Instructor must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Instructor, or ACLS Instructor must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
- Bachelor’s Degree, or Associate Degree.
